The Nomination: A Novel of Suspense ReviewI read Tap's Tips in "Field and Stream" I read every Brady Coyne I found in my local library. When I discovered this was the last book from William G. Tapply, I bought it. It is a tale of nastiness to good people, coming from two directions. And in the final confrontation the good guys are better than the bad guys deserve.
This book is not part of a series. The characters are not like any I remember from Brady Coyne. The details build in two independent stories: A highly skilled under-cover cop who is running to avoid final retribution from the child-slave trader she helped put away 25-to life. A judge nominated for the Supreme court with a nasty skeleton in his closet that must be kept there, by his old friend also by the White-house special advisor. All coming together in a proverbial freight-train-wreck.
The plot moves at a nice pace. The local atmosphere is evoked skillfully. All to be expected from a seasoned master mystery writer. I wish there could be more. The Nomination: A Novel of Suspense Overview
