Weird Tennessee: Your Travel Guide to Tennessee's Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets ReviewThe legends and stories passed down from generation to generation tell a lot about a place and its people. That's what makes Weird Tennessee such a compelling read. The stories recounted in this book reveal a great deal about the history and values of Tennesseans. This book is chocked full of legends, folklore, ghost stories, and larger-than-life historical places and figures. Some of the stories will give you chills, but the book is more than just a collection of ghost stories or alleged paranormal phenomena. Instead, it is a quirky tour of what makes Tennessee such a unique and fascinating place to live.That being said, the book was not without its problems. There is a fairly significant amount of typos throughout the book and the author is very fond of using bad puns. Maybe the worst feature was the use of letters and emails sent in to the editors at Weird U.S. Most of these "reader letters" were dumb, uninteresting, and did not add anything to what the author had just said.
Despite its problems, I still think this is great book. You will not find a better collection of Tennessee's legends and folklore anywhere else or as nicely put together as this book.Weird Tennessee: Your Travel Guide to Tennessee's Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets Overview
